Like steooing back in time ,very relaxing
food was very good, staff helpful, beautiful old building with pleasant garden
Great location with friendly staff and hotel accomodation
Service and general maner of staff, quality and presentation of the food was excellent , atmosphere throughout was very pleasing.
The fire in the lounge area was far too hot, guests could not sit in the chairs in front of the fire for more than a few minutes. The event was "black tie" but only half the guests complied with the dress code.
The hotel was as you would expect to find for a hotel of this nature. The staff were efficient and polite and the room was clean
There was a large private Christmas party the evening I stayed, and so I had to eat in the Conservatory resteraunt. There were 2 diners in here, and no atmosphere all. The food was not up to the standard I have had at this hotel before, and certainly not good value. The hotel reception acknowleged this the following morning and apologised, but no discount or refund was offered.
It was a very beautiful Henry the 8th style looking building but with all the modern day comforts. Perfect for a special weekend or honeymoon stay.
You have to walk outside to get to your rooms but this is undercover from any rain. This is a small price to pay for the great rooms you enter when you get to your door.
Very atmospheric with genuine Tudor interior features
it was nice & quiet for the whole time we were there
the large queen bed
i booked a excutive room .with smoking preference,i got a jnr room and no smoking .menu could have had more choice on it for the money i paid .
To be honest the hotel was fine for its purpose. We only required a hotel close to Romford for one night.
The exhaust fan in the bathroom was very annoying as it was so loud.
Very relaxing, good food ,staff very helpfull, lovely gardens
I enjoyed the ambience and attentive staff.
The night receptionist was very helpful as I arrived quite late. He took my bags to the room turned on lights etc and was very welcoming
Friendly, helpful staff, good quality snacks and breakfast, excellent location for visiting family in the area.
Great location and setting, quiet rooms, clean and comfortable, easy access
